Get answers to common questions about New Client Brazilian Sugaring.
During your first appointment we cleanse and trim as needed, apply warm sugar paste and remove hair in the direction of growth. The service includes underwear line and butt strip, takes about 30–45 minutes, and your comfort is prioritized.
Optimal hair length is about 1/8 to 1/4 inch (grain-of-rice length). Too short may not grip well, and very long hair can increase discomfort. We can trim excess length if needed before sugaring.
Sensitivity varies by person; many describe brief, manageable discomfort. Technicians use quick technique, pressure, and cooling to minimize sensation. Communicate with us so we can adjust timing and methods for your comfort.
Avoid exfoliating or tanning 48 hours prior and skip topical retinoids for about a week. Come clean, wear loose clothing, and inform us about medications or recent skin treatments before your appointment.
Avoid hot baths, heavy exercise, chlorinated pools and tight clothing for 24 hours. Use gentle cleansers and non-comedogenic moisturizer. Exfoliate lightly after 3–4 days to help prevent ingrown hairs and promote smooth regrowth.
Sugaring is generally considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding, though sensitivity often increases. Consult your healthcare provider if concerned and inform your technician so we can adjust positioning and comfort measures.
