Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Booty Strip Sugaring.

Most clients report less discomfort than waxing because sugar adheres only to hair, not skin. Sensitivity varies by person, but experienced estheticians use technique to minimize pain. Numbing options and post-care can also reduce soreness.

Hair should be about one-eighth to one-quarter inch long (roughly 3–6 mm) so the sugar can grip each strand. If hair is too short it won’t catch; if too long we can trim slightly for comfort and a cleaner result.

Most clients schedule every 4–6 weeks depending on individual hair growth. Regular sugaring weakens follicles over time, often leading to slower regrowth and finer hair. We’ll recommend a tailored schedule after your first visit.

Proper technique and pre/post-care greatly reduce irritation and ingrown hairs. Gently exfoliate after 48 hours, avoid tight clothing, and use recommended soothing products. If ingrowns occur, we offer advice and treatments to minimize recurrence.

Sugaring is generally safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding, but sensitivities can change. Consult your healthcare provider if concerned. Inform us about any complications; we’ll adapt our technique for comfort and avoid unnecessary pressure or products.

Before: avoid heavy exfoliation, arrive clean and with proper hair length. After: skip hot baths, tight clothing, and sun exposure for 24–48 hours. Gently exfoliate after 48 hours and apply soothing lotion as directed to support healing.
