Get answers to common questions about Areola Sugaring.
Arrive with clean, dry skin and avoid lotions, creams, or oils on the area. Hair should be about 1/8 to 1/4 inch long for best results. Your technician will discuss comfort measures and answer any questions before starting.
Most clients report Areola Sugaring is gentler than waxing because sugar adheres to hair not skin. Sensitivity varies; small tugs may be felt. We use technique and soothing aftercare to minimize discomfort and can recommend numbing options if needed.
Areola Sugaring is safe for most skin types, but recently shaved skin can be more prone to irritation. We recommend waiting two weeks after shaving to allow hair regrowth, and performing a patch test for sensitive skin before full treatment.
Results vary, but most clients enjoy smoothness for three to six weeks depending on individual hair growth. With regular sugaring, hairs often grow back thinner and sparser, extending time between appointments.
Areola Sugaring is generally safe during breastfeeding, but hormonal skin changes can increase sensitivity. During pregnancy we recommend consulting your healthcare provider; many prefer to wait until after the first trimester and discuss comfort measures with the technician.
Keep the area clean and avoid hot baths, saunas, and tight clothing for 24–48 hours. Apply a gentle, fragrance-free moisturizer or aloe and avoid exfoliating for 48 hours. If irritation persists, contact us for guidance or a recommended soothing product.
